Planning and Scope

If we decide to press forward after the proposal, we will get down to the nitty-gritty of setting the scope and creating a project plan. We have an internal project wiki here at Steffen Consulting that can be used for all aspects of project planning. It is secure and we can give access to any client personnel who need it. We are also amenable to using a different project planning tool if the client so desires. We love learning new software and catch on quickly.

At this time we will also staff the project. We need to assess the capabilities and time constraints of on-site staff and decide if we need to bring in outside resources. If outside resources are needed, Steffen Consulting will be responsible for:

• Identifying outside resources
• Managing the interview process with the client if necessary
• Providing worker’s compensation and general liability insurance
• Tracking time for outside resources and billing the client

We will cover billing and tracking logistics at this time and exchange any needed paperwork (Steffen Consulting is an Illinois S-Corporation).
