At Steffen Consulting, we get things working then turn them over to full time staff. That’s the ultimate achievement in our minds – to build something that is so intuitive and well-documented that we can easily transition it. We effectively want to work ourselves out of a job.

This happens because:

• We apply a proven methodology. We go from raw data, to data cubes, to presentation templates in a few calculated and reliable steps.
• We document in-project using web-based tools. Whether it’s in our project wiki or another tool of our clients choice, we stay on top of the documentation.
• We combine a programmer’s mentality with decades of experience in the financial planning and analysis trenches. When a programming mentality is applied to stable tools like Excel and Access, it makes the end product much easier to transition.
